Well, I was in the Air Force for four years so I at least understand the military side of things. You will be able to visit him when he graduates basic training, regardless is you are married or not. Again in tech school, he will have to live in the dorms so you will not be able to see each other for a while.





When he gets done with all this, and you are married, he will immediately get to live in married housing or off-base housing at his first duty location. From the things that I saw, this is ideal. The dorms for single people are kind of crazy. For someone in a serious, committed relationship... I would recommend avoiding the dorm drama.





It will be much easier for both of you if you get married before he goes. That way when he fills out paper work you are already listed as his spouse. And for you, it will just be useful to begin planning to move somewhere new. Marriage advice? should my boyfriend and i marry before he leaves?
No, getting married before getting deployed or going into the military is one of the biggest mistakes guys make. Because the first time he gets leave, you'll get prego and then you'll be on here like the rest of the military wives asking what went wrong.





Listen, I understand he wants ';someone back home';, but he doesn't even have his career going, why not plan that first?
You sound very young, and you've only been together for nine months. You don't say that you're madly in love, and that you are 100% sure he is the right one for you. You sound like you're wanting to get married just for the thrill of getting married. Don't do it.
